Q & A

Hi, folks! First, I just wanted to thank everyone for sending in your questions, I really appreciate it. I’m just going to get right into answering them so kick back, pour yourself a glass of wine (It’s 5 o’clock somewhere), and enjoy!!

Where did you grow up?

Born and raised in Utah! I grew up in Murray and lived in the same house for 21 years.

What is your full name?

M’Cayla Marguerite Isbell – Marguerite means ‘daisy’ in French, hence the daisy background on my blog haha!

What is your favorite white/red wine?

For white wine, I love the Barefoot Moscato. It’s just the right amount of sweet with a hint of carbonation! I haven’t had a lot of red wines.. I’m just barely trying out a few but so far I like the Apothic Red Blend. It’s not too shabby and definitely my favorite out of the handful of reds I have tried.

What is your favorite food?

Uhm literally anything. I like all kinds of food, I don’t discriminate.

Do you have any pets?

Unfortunately, no. If I had it my way we would have a sloth, baby goat, and all of the animals running around but the hubs isn’t down for that haha! Plus our Townhome is newly built and we don’t want to worry about a dog scratching the floors or staining the carpet. I will just love other people’s animals and admire them from a distance. Josh one time did say ‘IF we ever get a dog, I want to get a beagle.’ So honestly I think I have made some progress.

How was the moving process?

…..Let’s just put it this way, we better not be moving for at least 4 more years! How do 2 people accumulate so much stuff?

What is your favorite color? – Classic Question!

I really like black.. and grey.. white? I love nuetrals but I also love orange and baby blue and red. This question is hard. Is glitter a color?

What is your favorite nickname?

KK or Cakes.

What is your star sign?

I’m a Gemini and I feel like it’s very fitting.

What do you do for work?

I work for a company that helps people with their Medicare coverage. We help them transition from their group insurance plans to an individual and manage their reimbursement accounts! I looove the job and am very blessed with the opportunities I have been given.

What’s your dream job?

Being a Mom!

What is the best/hardest thing about marriage?

The best thing about marriage is.. everything. Like having a lifelong bestfriend and someone to come home to everyday. A forever traveling buddy. Someone who will be there to support you and help you get through the easy and hard times. Someone to grocery shop with on Sundays and drink too much wine with and be silly with. Marriage is thee best. I went through a period in my life where I thought marriage was pointless and just a piece of paper. Come to find out it’s changes the connection you have with your significant other. I’m very grateful he chose to marry me!

The hardest thing, for me personally, is my lack of communication skills definitely cause us to tiff sometimes. Believe me, I have come a loooong way (Right, Babe? lol). But communicating even the smallest details is so important and it’s definitely something I need to work on. He is like the master of communicating (Sociology Major) and pinpointing how he is feeling and what he needs from me. Me on the other hand, I’m a highly sensitive person but yet I have the hardest time pinpointing WHY I’m feeling the way I am. Other than that, our marriage is perfect and smooth sailing. Everyone said ‘The first year is always the hardest…’ but, so far, I disagree with that! #WifeLifeIsTheBestLife

That’s all the questions I will do in this post! If I didn’t answer your question, don’t worry! I will do another Q & A another time. Thanks for reading and taking the time to get to know ya girl!

xoxo, cakes
